Working out after baby:)

Hello everyone!

March 30th 2009- My second attempt at getting fit!

About three weeks ago I was sucked into one of those early Saturday morning infomercials. I was feeding the baby at abot 5:40 am while the rest of the house was fast asleep- as usual.  So anyways I found myself actually going to the computer and ordering Barry’s Boot Camp.  Yeah, I know.  So it came that week and I started doing it every day, and by the third day my butt hurt so bad I had to take a break- the break ended up being for a week and a half Embarassed.  So today, when they charged me fo the second time, I realized I’d better give it a second try.  But, it’s been hard ya know.

I had my second child three months ago and I can’t seem to lose those last ten pounds to get to my pre-baby weight.  It’s annoying. Not only because I really have no reason to not lose the weight, but I also feel like total crap. 

Since last fall I’ve been home with my son and now my new baby. It’s been a big adjustment, considering I’ve always worked, and I love to be able to see people.  I mean, I get out and stuff, but I don’t really interact with other adults regularly. It’s a totally different story when you have two kids under the age of 4. There’s the massive double stroller, the baby carrier that fits into the stroller, the diaper bag, the purse, not to mention getting it all into the car ,kids and all.  So usually we’ll have our stay at home days and our outing days.  I like to just get all of my errands done at the same time because it just makes it easier.  Today we went to the grocery store and the cleaners, and it took a good two hours. I remember when I used to be able to run into the store if I forgot to get vegetable oil for the enchiladas. Now I got home and had to forget it, I used butter instead.  Life definitely changes after the first kid but it completely changes after the second.  It’s great, but it’s also tough.

At least when I got home I had it in me to do the workout for a second time today. We’ll see, maybe i’l keep it up this time around.
